Bulletin 1 has been released for the 45th Katoa Po. This will be held near Reporoa at Hoanga and Ngahiwi farms and will offer a weekend of orienteering and social activities for all levels of ability. The event, scheduled for 8-9 March 2025, will begin with a fun warm-up event on Saturday afternoon. The main events include the Katoa Po Night Relay, which starts at dusk, and the Explorer Night Rogaine, both running into the night. The relay will feature five-person club teams, with revised eligibility for a more exciting race. The explorer rogaine, for teams of 2-5, will run from 8:30 to 11:30 pm across a larger area. A marquee will serve as the event centre, with camping on-site.

On Sunday, participants can enjoy a cooked breakfast from a local school team before taking part in a 90-minute daytime rogaine. Additional amenities include an ice cream and coffee stand. The Katoa Po is a long-running interclub night relay, with teams competing for the Owl trophy, catering to various ages and skill levels. The Explorer events provide an opportunity for night navigation practice, with courses suitable for beginners and experts. Entries will be via the EnterO website.
