2018 Australian Orienteering Carnival

Find out the latest in mapping, including case studies in the use of LIDAR, the new mapping specifications and converting old maps to the new mapping specifications. Friday 5 October 2018, No cost, Para Wirra National Park.

Expected outcomes:

  • Lessons learnt in using LIDAR for current and future major events in 2018/19
  • Guidelines on specifying LIDAR acquisition and processing for different terrain types
  • Better understanding of the new ISOM 2017 mapping standards

What to bring:

  • Your interest, experiences and a willingness to share.
  • There will not be facilities for hands-on LIDAR exercises or training, but there will be many examples shown and time for discussion.
