The IOF World Orienteering Day team have produced a new leaflet “Let’s GO Orienteering”. It is available for download from the Orienteering NZ website publications or schools resources pages.

It’s intended as a “give away” to teachers, students or beginners when educating them in the first step of learning orienteering or navigation skills.

It could be part of a “start kit” or work by itself. The aim of this leaflet is:

• to guide people through the basic knowledge of orienteering in a simple manner
• to make orienteering understandable and fun to carry out

This leaflet can not only be used by teachers but also by individuals to improve their personal orienteering skills.

The IOF WOD Team have completed it in English (will soon be printed) and they welcome requests for translations into other languages or other needs.
