Orienteers in GodZone documentary |  NZ Mountain Film Festival 

The Adventure of Racing follows is a documentary of a female-led adventure racing team. Film maker Ben Wallbank, follows the team competing in GodZone which was also the Adventure Racing World Championships in Fiordland, New Zealand. The documentary picked up a best documentary award for the work on exposing the challenges of getting a competitive adventure team to the start line of an very unpredictable race. The women’s team and finished fourth overall, the highest result for a women’s team in a multi-day world championship which does have a male as part of the team as all adventure racing teams have a member of the opposite sex on the team. The Rab Wahine team featured three women — Wānaka’s Emily Wilson, Taupo’s Emma McCosh and Nelson’s Georgia Whitla (Nelson Orienteering Club)  — and the male was Aaron Prince from Christchurch (PAPO) .  Following the world premiere of ‘The Adventure of Racing’ at the NZ Mountain Film Festival in Wanaka, the film maker  shared some of the biggest challenges he faced while filming this documentary!
