Orienteering NZ is looking for a pre-JWOC Coach to work with those orienteers wishing to trial for JWOC and those selected to better prepare for the event.
In addition, ONZ is asking for applications for the JWOC Coach that will travel with the team to Hungary in July 2018 continuing with training onsite and during JWOC.
Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) Coach 2018
Tenure:
- From appointment to the completion of the competition (approximately).
- The Junior World Orienteering Championships for 2018 will be held in Hungary 8-15 July 2018.
(Travel to/from championships and pre-event training have not been included in these dates).
Purpose:
- The primary role of the JWOC Coach is to assist the NZ representative team at JWOC to perform to the best of their ability and to improve upon previous results achieved by New Zealand representative teams at JWOC.

Pre-Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) Training Coach
Tenure:
- From confirmation (anticipated by end of November) through to the appointment of JWOC Coach in 2018.
- ONZ advise the successful applicant for the Pre-JWOC Training Coach role will not automatically be appointed as the JWOC Coach. The JWOC Coach appointment will be considered in early 2018.
Purpose:
- The primary role of the Pre-JWOC Training Coach is to assist with the athlete training and preparation for the NZ representative team at JWOC to perform to the best of their ability.
