This event is open to anyone, orienteering club members or non-members. Suitable for families, novices and the more experienced adventurers out there. Orienteering (any club) members receive a discounted entry fee.
The event will take place within a 30 minute drive of Blenheim on farm land. Detailed travel directions and other information will be in the final instructions which will be emailed to the team contact one week prior to the event and will also be available on the website.
Registration, course planning, briefing, start, finish, post event food will all take place at the event venue. We can confirm that this will be in a woolshed. Catering will be provided by the club and includes a burger and drink. The cost is included in the entry fee.
Largely a variety of rolling land with some moderate and steep hills. A mix of mostly clean open grassland, tussock land, scattered scrub – typical Marlborough farm land. Defined ridges, spurs, knolls, saddles, lots of gullies and water courses, plenty of contours with good stock routes.
3 Hour only with Juniors (U18 as of event date), Senior and Families (must be all residing at the same address)
All teams must consist of 2 people minimum
