Battle Hill is a site of historic significance, and now a working farm complex with sheep, horses, cows and fowl. Strictly no dogs please. Toilets are available. The park is used by a wide variety of people - please respect horse riders, mountain bikers, walkers and runners using the tracks. Parking is limited so please carpool where possible.
There are drinking water taps at Battle Hill Farm Park but no water will be provided on the courses.
Open and exposed terrain (wear appropriate clothing); steep and uneven ground, cliffs (watch your footing and vary your speed); gates and fence crossings (cross at major fence posts; the hinge side of gates); electric fences surround the horse paddocks (out of bounds); various stock animals (give them a wide berth); ongaonga in the forest (wear full body cover). Please carry a whistle.
