The June After-work Rogaine is next Tuesday 18 June.
From formidable Maori fortifications, to prison breaks, and secret dance parties in underground bunkers, the Miramar Peninsula has a rich history and some fantastic secrets to explore. There’s a bit of something for everyone with a mix of single trail, 4WD, urban and a good dose of bush bashing.
With Miramar aiming to be the first predator free suburb in the country by the end of this year keep you eyes out for the odd trap-line to help speed bush travel! You may be required to crawl if you want the big points… Even having lived here since he was 3 years old, Tim was still able to surprise himself with some new gems to have you hunting.
Due to the bush element Solo is discouraged and will only be allowed for those with proven experience. It will also mean that if it’s a wet night you’ll want your waterproofs along with a warm change of clothes, bush travel is wet! Grip will be your friend.
Start / Finish area Miramar Park (Access off Darlington Road) parking available on street and within the park.
Maps from 5:20. Rogaine starts at 6:00pm. There is a 90 minute and a three hour option.
Register at www.mapsport.co.nz/wellyrog by Sunday 16 June.
Planner: Tim Sutton
