Last year and earlier this year strong winds have blown down many pine trees.  Recently many have been logged.  These areas, and unlogged individual fallen trees, have been mapped as dark green or striped dark green.

There are many old logging tracks that are not used as pathways and are not mapped.

Paths that pass through dark green areas are generally passable.

For yellow courses where a track bends and there is a nearby (logging) track, we have blocked the nearby track with branches to indicate not to go that way.

We recommend eye protection as there are many branches at head height. Please carry a whistle

Beware uneven ground, tree debris, and pine cones that can roll underfoot.

For white and yellow courses where a path is missing or obscure, we have indicated the recommended route either with tape (as noted in the course description on the map) or with ribbons hanging on tree branches.

The start and finish are within 100m of the event centre.

Pre-entry preferred. You may enter on the day but this will depend on map availability. Pre-entries close at midnight on Sat 5 September.
