About the biking. It's largely on the river trails and a few quiet streets but we have controls in the willows, and may cross the grass which is soft at this time of year. You'll be able to do it on a road bike but might have to push for short distances. A MTB is best. Security - we recommend locking pairs of bikes together at the transitions while you do the foot. You can do the biking without the foot sections if you wish - there are 20 CPs.
