The Start/Finish for is Grasslees Reserve, Davies Street, Tawa (park near Tawa Pool)
For the first rogaine of the season, Tawa offers a variety of terrain - urban on flat and low hills, bush and forest on higher hills, watched over by Rangituhi (Colonial Knob) - something for everyone.
Some of the bush tracks can be very slippery when wet - so watch the weather and plan accordingly. Some of the secondary trails have blackberry or gorse - main tracks are mostly clear.
