For those of you enthused from the last Australian Champs we now have information on the 2024 champs. Riders can expect a wide variety of terrain from intricate single track in native eucalypt forest, to vast pine plantation trail networks. All is within half an hour’s drive of central Canberra.

Thursday 17 October 2024  | Social warm-up event | Bruce Ridge   Suburban north Canberra, short ride from the city centre. A social score course event, starts from 5pm.

Friday 18 October 2024 |  Australian Mass Start Championships | West Stromlo  20 minutes drive west of central Canberra, starts from 5pm.

Saturday19 October 2024 | Australian Middle Distance Championships | Stringybark Hill  A new map, never previously used for MTBO. An extensive network of rocky singletrack set amongst hilly native forest. 25 minutes drive east of central Canberra, starts from 9-10am.

Saturday 19 October | Australian Sprint Distance Championships | Sutton Road   Less than 20 minutes drive east of central Canberra, and only 15 minutes from Stringybark Hill. The map is dominated by a tarred race circuit, surrounded by open grassland, scattered trees, and a profusion of industrial debris. Off–track riding is permitted everywhere, and riders will need to carefully judge when to cut straight across country and when best to utilise the fragmented and rough off-road track network. Starts from 2- 3pm.

Sunday 20 October | Australian Long Distance Championships | West Kowen & Kowen Homestead 30 minutes drive east of central Canberra. An expansive pine plantation with a huge network of forestry roads, fire trails and some rough singletrack. Starts from 9-10am.
