We are pleased to confirm that the 2025 Junior Camp will take place at Houghtons Bush Camp, Murawai, Auckland between Thu 11 and Tue 16 December. The camp is being hosted by Auckland Orienteering Club. 

The Junior Camp is open to students studying in years 9-13. Students in year 8 and below are not eligible to attend. It is also important to note that unlike previous years, only students that are in year 13 or have left secondary school will be considered for the High Performance Camp (previously the U23 Camp). This means that students in years 9-12 are only eligible for the Junior Camp in 2025.

The Junior Camp website will be updated from 1 September and includes a link to the registration form. As we get more information, the website will continue to be updated. The estimated cost for the camp is $600.  This cost is based on 80 participants, with estimated (still to be confirmed) catering costs. We are also waiting to see the results of grant applications to try and reduce the amount further.

The key projected dates for the camp are 

1. Applicants enter using this online form, cut-off date Tuesday 30 September
2. Clubs substantiate the applicant information and applicants notified of an offer of a place on the camp by Friday 10 October 2025 accompanied by confirmation, consent & travel arrangement forms
3. Applicants have until Friday 24 October 2025 to accept their place on the camp
4. Invoices for camp fees will be sent out to families on Monday 3 November 2025 and a list of participants published
5. Consent/travel forms processed during November
6. Payment of camp fees is due by Friday 28 November 2025
