Are you a course planner, controller, or event organiser looking to level up your skills? Whether you’re aiming for certification or simply keen to learn more about the role of a controller, this two-day clinic is for you.

Led by Alister Metherell (PAPO) on behalf of Orienteering NZ, this interactive workshop balances classroom discussions, field exercises and lively debate. You’ll gain valuable insights into event fairness, technical details, hazard management and much more.

Why attend?

  • Improve your understanding of controlling, from club events to national championships
  • Work towards becoming an ONZ A or B Grade Controller (this course is a prerequisite)
  • Gain practical experience through hands-on exercises

  • Complaints, protests and juries
