The European Youth Championships will be held in Velingrad, Bulgaria from 22-25 June 2023. Competitions consist of a sprint, a single forest race and a relay and competition classes are M18, W18, M16 and W16. NZL is able to enter up to 4 athletes in each class. EYOC is 2 weeks before JWOC in neighbouring Romania, and may provide suitable training opportunities for those members of the JWOC team in the appropriate age categories. Team numbers for EYOC have to be submitted by 1 April and therefore expressions of interest are invited from juniors who would like to be considered for EYOC2023. As long as age category limits are not exceeded there is unlikely to be a formal selection process, although preference may be given to JWOC team members.

Expressions of interest are also invited from senior orienteers and/or parents who might be prepared to act as an official for EYOC2023.
