Orienteers have produced some fabulous performances this weekend at both the Coast to Coast and the Tawera Ultra. Pride of place to Chris Forne and Gene Beveridge. There were also excellent results from Tim Farrant (48th in the Longest Day in 14:26:00) and Sonia Hollands (15th woman in the 62k Tarawera in 8:44:22).
Other orienteers in theTarawera Ultra races were Jourdan Harvey (now living in the USA) who was 11th in the 102k race in 10:12:44, while a 4 person team “Orienteering Bay of Plenty” took out the team relay in the 87k race in 7:41:57.
