A fast and furious start to the mass-start race at Orient Express MTBO kicked off three loops spread over three maps – essentially a one man relay. All the chaos and excitement of a typical relay start but adding speeds of up to 40kph to the mix. 

Forest temperatures in the mid-30s added to the constant balance of judging: distance and time; climb, track speed & condition, flow through controls. Courses were well-set leaving excellent route choices while control placement meant having to ride some of the fun single tracks along the way.
