The ANZ Challenge will be held in Auckland on 14-17 April 2017 as part of the Oceania Championships.
- Friday 14 April – Sprint Distance
- Saturday 15 April – Long Distance
- Sunday 16 April – Relay Championships
- Monday 17 April – Middle Distance
For 2017, New Zealand will challenge Australia in the following classes:
W-16, W-18, W-20, W21, W40, W45, W50, W55, W60, W65, W70, W75
M-16, M-18, M-20, M21, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70, M75
Team size: 3 athletes per age class
Although the Oceania Relays have only 10-year age classes for M/W35 and older, within each of the 10-year Relay categories there will be separate teams for the 5-year ANZ Challenge classes.
Criteria for Selection
Selection will be based on all known form with emphasis on results in major events during 2016. All athletes registered as entered into the Oceania Championships as of 31 January 2017 are deemed to be available for selection. The panel of Selectors reserves the right to select athletes not yet registered by this date.
