New Zealand has been invited to take on Australia in an ANZ challenge competition at the Australian MTBO champs, Queensland, 9-10 Sept 2023.
We seek riders who wish to be selected for the New Zealand MTBO Team. To be considered for selection please notify the MTBO Selection Panel before 2nd June 2023 via Josie Boland, josie.boland@xtra.co.nz. Please include your club, date of birth and preferred age class where you are eligible for more than one class (remembering that your age class is determined by your age at 31/12/2023).

The ANZ Challenge is competed for in the Australian sprint, middle and long distance MTBO championship races. Classes to be contested in the Challenge are currently being considered, so interested people are urged to make contact ASAP to assist us in that process. Teams of up to 3 will be selected for each class.
Selection Criteria
As per the Orienteering NZ G1 Selection Policy the 2023 ANZ Challenge team will be selected on the basis of known form. Known form will include results from all known races with emphasis on the recent 2022 and 2023 New Zealand MTBO Championships. Please include any relevant recent results in your application.
Riders must be current financial members of their orienteering club to qualify as part of the New Zealand Team, so please ensure your club memberships are up to date.
Applications must be in by 2nd June 2023.\
