Nelson and Marlborough Orienteering Clubs are hosting the Taitonga – Southern Regional Orienteering Championships at Labour Weekend from the 24 to 26 October 2026. The following embargoes come into effect as of 1 March 2026. At this stage, we are still confirming access and personnel so please do not book any accommodation in case of a venue change.

SPRINT – Saturday 24 October 2026. 
Embargoed Area: Tapawera village east of Main Road Tapawera including Tapawera Area School and Tapawera Recreation Reserve. Access is allowed to the Tapawera shopping area, the Great Taste Trail and to Shedwood Bush Track via Rata Ave.

LONG – Sunday 25 October 2026
Embargoed Area: Teetotal Flats West. Access is permitted by cycle or vehicle along Tee Total Road and Jasmine Road

MIDDLE – Monday 26 October 2026
Embargoed Area: West Bay, Lake Rotoiti. Access is permitted along Mount Robert Road and the Lake Rotoiti Circuit between West Bay and St Arnaud village
