The World Games started in 1981 as multi-sport events for sports and disciplines that are not contested in the Olympic Games. Orienteering first appeared in 2001. In 2025 we have our largest NZ team attending the World Games in Chengdu, China. You can watch the orienteering action from 8–11 August 2025 all free of charge.
