Orienteering NZ invites applications for the following positions:

  • Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) Coach 2015
  • Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) Team Manager 2015
  • World Orienteering Championships (WOC) Team Manager 2015

Applications for all the positions close: Sunday 8 March 2015.

Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) Coach 2015

  • Purpose: The primary role of the JWOC Coach is to assist the NZ representative team at JWOC to perform to the best of their ability and to improve upon previous results achieved by New Zealand representative teams at JWOC.
  • Tenure: From appointment to the completion of the competition (approximately). The Junior World Orienteering Championships will be held in Rauland, Norway from 4-10 July 2015. (Travel to/from Norway and pre-event training have not been included in these dates).

Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) Team Manager 2015

  • Purpose: The JWOC Manager is one of two officials appointed by Orienteering NZ to lead and manage a team of junior athletes selected to attend JWOC (the other official appointed is the JWOC Coach). The primary role of the JWOC Manager is to ensure all financial and logistical matters (both pre and during JWOC) pertaining to New Zealand’s participation at JWOC are attended to.
  • Tenure: From appointment to the completion of the competition (approximately). The Manager is expected to travel to the Junior World Championships (and any other events the team are attending) with the team. The Junior World Orienteering Championships will be held in Rauland, Norway from 4-10 July 2015. (Travel to/from Norway and pre-event training have not been included in these dates).

World Orienteering Championships (WOC) Team Manager 2015

  • Purpose: The primary role of the WOC Manager is to ensure all financial and logistic matters pertaining to the NZ representative team’s participation at WOC are attended to.
  • Tenure: From appointment to the completion of the competition (approximately). The Manager is expected to travel to the World Championships with the team. The World Orienteering Championships will be held in Inverness, Scotland from 1-7 August 2015. (Travel to/from Scotland and pre-event training have not been included in these dates).
