The final round of the IOF World Cup takes place at Davos Klosters in Switzerland this weekend. NZL will be represented by Tim Robertson and Toby Scott. Although they may manage to co-opt a third runner for Saturday’s relay, as an unofficial team, their real focus will be on the Middle distance on Sunday and Monday’s long. The terrain, alpine at 1500-1800 m above sea level, will be a reasonable sample of what can be expected at WOC next year. The long distance in fact features over 600 m of climb in it’s 14+ kilometers for the men.

Despite not running in Round 2, after his wonderful performances in the opening round in Sweden Tim still sits in 4th place overall with 160 points, 62 behind leader Kasper Harlem Fosser, but only 13 away from 3rd place. As ever, there will be full coverage on IOF live (https://orienteering.sport/event/orienteering-world-cup-round-3-2/welcome/) on all 3 New Zealand nights.
