Now we are only weeks away from Nationals in Christchurch – woohoo see some of you there.

Our Board meeting for March will be in early April but as a Board in March we have considered the updated constitution and the 2024 annual report – wow we have some great figures in there showing the sustainability of our sport, our increasing membership and our highest participation year ever are key milestones for me.

Christo, Marquita and I met with our counterparts from Orienteering Australia last week which included some representatives from IOF. It was a great meeting where we shared initiatives and future planning in our respective organisations. Some specific actions coming from this are a working group being set up to review the Oceania rules for recommendation to our Boards, and a possible IOF Event Advisors workshop later in the year in Australia. We’ll aim to connect with OA more regularly. You’ll see an opportunity to get involved in the next steps in developing O-Zone, which is really shaping to be an incredible system.
