Orienteering NZ wishes for our sport to continue to be a respectful, safe, and fair sport. To this end, we would like to remind everyone involved in our sport that all club members, coaches, managers, and supporters are bound by our sport’s code of conduct. This document outlines expectations for everyone involved in our sport as well as consequences for those that breach the code. Below are some of the key concepts covered in the code of conduct: 

Expected behaviour for all:
Some points from the policy on expected behaviour :
• act in good faith towards all others
• show commitment to orienteering
• follow the principles of fair play, and encourage others to do the same
• respect the rights, dignity, and value of others
• communicate with others in a way that is honest and considerate
• not behave in a way that is discriminatory, bullying, harassing, racist, sexist, violent, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate towards others, in person or online
• ensure safe and healthy practices at all times
