Competition starts in New South Wales, Australia with the Oceania Sprint at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga on the afternoon of Saturday 28 September 2019 and concludes with the Oceania Middle in Victoria at Beechworth on the morning of Sunday 6 October 2019.

The European Youth Orienteering Championships (EYOC) are taking place in Grodno, Belarus on Thursday 27th June through to Sunday 30th June 2019. NZ orienteers are travelling independently to the European Youth Orienteering Champs in Belarus.

Orienteering Waikato is holding 2 orienteering events on 13th and 14th April 2019. On Saturday they are holding the Central Districts Sprint Champs and on Sunday the Auckland Clubs have generously allowed us to host one of their series events.
A review of the Major Events has been undertaken and ONZ has identified the need to consider alternatives to how events are allocated and managed. It is imperative for the continued growth and development of our sport that we review events and look at the best options for delivering these in the future.
