Applications are now being sought for the Team Manager roles for WOC and JWOC 2018 and 2019. Team Managers provide an integral part to our travelling teams both pre-competition and during the competition itself so we are looking for someone who has the time to commit to the role hopefully for this 2-year period.

The first term of the ONZ Committee members are now up for renewal. Firstly, we are seeking applications for the Junior Development, MTBO and Rogaine committees.
Skills Active are setting up an industry advisory group for the outdoor sector to help advise on training pathways and how to attract and retain staff.
Lizzie Ingham would normally be on home ground this Easter, but the leader of the IOF FootO Athletes’ Commission is missing one of the highlights of the Oceania orienteering calendar.

The 2017 Orienteering NZ Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 14 April 2017 at the conclusion of the Oceania Championships Sprint event. Venue details have been announced.
The final Bulletin has been published for the 5th March 2017 orienteering double-sprint event Massey Campus, Albany. Online Entries for the event close 11:59pm Tuesday 28th February 2017.

Applications are invited for the volunteer position of Orienteering NZ ANZ Challenge (Oceania) Team Manager 2017. Applications close: 22 December 2016. The Team Manager is appointed by Orienteering NZ to lead and manage a Team, once selected, of elite athletes to represent New Zealand at the Oceania Championships.

The highlight of October without a doubt has been Tim Robertson’s performance in coming 4th in the final race of the 2016 IOF World Cup, leaving him in 16th place overall in the series. However, October has also seen a highly successful Alpine O Weekend in the high country of Craigieburn, and considerable progress in planning for 2017. The later includes finalising the 2017 High Performance Squads, venues for various trials, and proposals for a HP camp.

At the XXVIII Ordinary General Assembly of the IOF in Strömstad, Sweden on August 26, the IOF members voted in favour of the proposed Code of Ethics and necessary statutory changes. When the full statutory changes come into effect, the XXIX General Assembly in 2018 will appoint the Ethics Panel of up to 5 persons. […]
