Join the 2024 Asian Orienteering Championships (AsOC) from 21st to 26th December 2024 and you can also be a part of the launch of a new High-Level Development Programme for passionate coaches and orienteers alongside the The Young Leader Academy Asia (YLA Asia) and the IOF Asian Coaching Clinic (AsCC).

Participants in the programme will engage in workshops and practical sessions to deepen their understanding with essential techniques for organising orienteering events. Topics cover: management, course setting, and map making, with hands-on activities to ensure skills can be applied in many real-world situations.The programme  highlights the importance of various roles in orienteering, with practical experiences through internships with race organisers. A final challenge will allow them to apply their newly acquired skills, fostering a sense of achievement and confidence. In addition to leadership training, participants will also receive team management and coaching support from an ex-World Orienteering Championships (WOC) team coach from a European team for their participation in the AsOC & AsJYOC. Participants who successfully complete the academy will be awarded with IOF certification. More information here
