New Zealanders thinking of coming to the Australian Championships being held at Armidale on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales at the end of September might be interested in also attending the Queensland Orienteering Championships being held on the preceding weekend, 21/22 September. This two day event will be held just north of Stanthorpe on Queensland’s Southern Downs and 3 hours from Armidale. To fill in the week before heading for Armidale, the region boasts some wonderful national parks, wineries, farm tours where you can pick your own fruit and plenty of food places to explore.
The event is approx. 3 hrs 30 mins from Brisbane airport and starts on the Saturday will be from 12.30pm with some flexibility for late arrivals from overseas.
