Experience similar terrain to that which will be used for the World Masters Games and Oceania Orienteering Championships in April 2017!

The JAFA 2015 Queen’s Birthday Orienteering, Saturday 30 May – Monday 1 June 2015, Auckland New Zealand website is live and entries are open.

This will be a superb weekend of orienteering on some of the best maps in New Zealand.

If you need to fly, book your flights early; plus get your accommodation sorted.

North West Orienteering Club have had many enquiries from Australia after their advertorial in the Australian Orienteer, and expect many to use this weekend as a chance to experience this terrain as a lead up to the World Masters in 2017.

The weekend’s orienteering events will include:

  • Test match between Australia’s Bushrangers and New Zealand’s Pinestars at the senior level (and hopefully also at junior level).
  • Trials for the New Zealand Secondary School team to contest the Southern Cross Challenge in September.
  • Auckland Orienteering Champs 2015 (Long is Waioneke; Middle is Sunday morning race)

The events  are open for anyone to enter, with 11 courses offered across 41 age group categories.

Expected number of participants is 300+
