New Zealand has been selected as the Oceania representative for the orienteering events at the 2017 World Games to be held in Wroclaw, Poland from 25-27 July next year. This means that NZL will have the maximum representation of 2 men and 2 women.
The World Games, held every 4 years, are essentially the Olympics for non-Olympic sports and there are three orienteering races at the games – a sprint, a middle distance and a mixed relay.
This will be the third time NZL has been represented at the games after competing in Taiwan in 2009 and Columbia in 2013.
