Come and join us in the Manawatu for three days of top class orienteering 4-6 June. The weekend features three forest events and a companion sprint, with two World Ranking Events, a JWOC fundraiser, NZ School Team selections, the schools Regional Challenge, and National O League points are up for grabs. Who could ask for more?

Queens Birthday 2022

The companion sprint is planned for Massey University in Palmerston North, with first starts from 9.30 am on Saturday morning. Massey is an old favourite, offering a wide variety of navigational challenges on an excellent map. The event will provide an opportunity for the juniors to show their sprint skills to the NZ School Teams selectors. For everybody else, it gives a chance to loosen up before the forest events. What’s more, entrants will be contributing to a good cause, as all proceeds from the event will go to our JWOC team.

The forest events are two middle distance events (Saturday and Monday) and a long distance (Sunday). Saturday and Sunday events are both World Ranking Events. The events are on the Parewanui map near Scott’s Ferry. We dipped into this fantastic map in Nationals 2020, but there was so much more high quality terrain that has not seen any recent competition. A unique feature of the weekend is that all three forest events share a common event centre.
