The European Youth Orienteering Championships (EYOC) 2025 will be held in Brno, Czechia from 17th -21st July 2025. EYOC will consist of a Long distance race, an Individual Sprint, and a Forest Relay. Age classes are W16, M16, W18, M18. New Zealand is allowed to enter 4 athletes in each class.

Selection Criteria

As per the Orienteering NZ G1 Selection Policy the 2025 EYOC team will be selected on the basis of performances in the following races:

• the 2025 Oceania Championships Sprint, Middle and Long Races (24-26 January)     
  
  Performance at previous comparable events may also be taken into account.
  (at Oceania, athletes must run in the age class for which they want to be selected)

Athletes will be expected to:

• have a structured training plan in place and to work with their individual coach/mentor 
• demonstrate the technical ability and level of fitness required to handle the Czech terrain and race distances.
