The European Youth Orienteering Championships (EYOC) 2024 will be held in Szcsecin, Poland from 21-24 June 2024. EYOC will consist of individual sprint and long distance races, and a forest relay. Classes are M-18, W-18, M-16 and W-16. New Zealand is allowed up to 4 athletes in each class.

Selection Criteria

As per the Orienteering NZ G1 Selection Policy ONZ will select a 2024 EYOC team on the basis of the following races

• sprint distance, middle distance and long distance – 29-31 March, Bay of Plenty (ONZ Champs)

Previous performance at major NZ, Australian and international events may also be taken into account.

Preferential selection in M/W-18 may be offered to athletes selected for JWOC who wish to use EYOC as preparation.

Promising athletes in the M/W-16 classes seeking European experience are encouraged to apply.

All athletes interested in selection for the 2024 EYOC team shall notify their interest, year of birth, and cell phone number to the Convenor of Selectors Al Cory-Wright (alistaircorywright@gmail.com) by 31 January 2024 at the latest.
