The World Orienteering Championships 2025 are scheduled to be held in Kuopio, Finland from 7-12 July 2025. WOC will consist of a Long race, a Middle race,  and a Forest Relay

Selection Criteria
As per the Orienteering NZ G1 Selection Policy the 2025 WOC team will be selected on the basis of

For New Zealand based athletes:

• performances in the 2025 Oceania Championships Middle and Long Races (25-26 January),  and the Southern Regional Championships Long and Middle Races (7-8 February) 
• known form including performances at previous WOC and other comparable international events

Overseas based athletes:

• up to 3 nominated World Ranking Events (WRE) at any date up to and including 31st March 2025
• known form including performances at previous WOC and other comparable international events

All athletes interested in selection for the 2025 WOC team shall notify their interest to the Convenor of Selectors Al Cory-Wright (alistaircorywright@gmail.com) by 11th January 2025
