Marlborough and Nelson Orienteering Clubs are each hosting a weekend of orienteering in the lead up to Oceania 2017.

On Saturday 25 March 2017, Marlborough Orienteering Club (MOC) will host the first of the Top of the South OYs, known as the Pelorus Challenge, at Pine Valley Adventure Camp on the northern bank of the Wairau River.  Starts from 2pm to 3pm to allow for travel. Option to camp/stay in dorms at Pine Valley camp $15 per adult $7 per child for a self catering evening.  Contact MOC for availability.

Sunday 26 March 2017 will be the second OY at “The Barracks” (Sams Creek), Barracks Road (off Brookby Rd, Omaka Valley).  Starts between 10:30-11:30.

The following weekend on the 1st and 2nd of April 2017, its NOCs turn.  With self-starting training exercises set up on Teetotal Flats to occupy your Saturday followed by a dusk rogaine around the village.

The next morning we will revisit Big Bush Forest for OY3 – not having been used for an event since the Long Distance for the Nationals last year.  Will be fun!
