Updated IOF Rules have been posted onto the IOF website.
Of importance to New Zealand and Australia is the inclusion of the Oceania Championship Rules, which are found as Appendix 9 in the FootO rules. These have been agreed between Orienteering NZ and Orienteering Australia in 2014.
In addition the other key changes are:
- The bringing in of a Protest Fee for all major IOF events
- A rule that once a relay team is disqualified, and this disqualification accepted, then no other team members can head out for their leg for World Cups and the World Championships
- Emit Touch Free punching approved for World Ranking Events
- North American Championship rules added, in addition to Oceania Championship rules
