Between the dates 17 -25 May 2025, any activity held can be registered as a World Orienteering Week event. Imagine the world’s largest orienteering event. One where thousands of experienced orienteers, recreational participants and newcomers come together and participate in orienteering activities close to where they live, but at the same time as similar activities all across the globe. 

More than 120.000 people participated in the 2024 in close to 1000 events in 76 different nations during World Orienteering Week this year. See all the events from 2024 in the map above. The fact that World Orienteering Week is a global event can also help in discussions with schools and other officials. Schools and parks often look for different themed activities and this can be a great way to introduce orienteering with the credibility of other activities around the globe.

Orienteering clubs, schools and organisations have a chance to set up an orienteering event and join the worldwide orienteering festivities.
