(USA) Open Position – For Immediate Hire – Volunteer Female Assistant Coach & Chaperone 

The USA Junior Orienteering program is looking for a Volunteer Female Assistant Coach and Chaperone (1 position) to help the head coach as the team travels and races in Europe this summer.

The team will arrive in Finland 10.June for racing and training. The team will then head to Norway 23.June – 2.July to train on the JWOC 2015 terrain and race at the Nrosk O-fest. After this event the team will head to Bulgaria 2 – 28.July for additional training and to compete in JWOC. The JWOC portion of this trip is top priority.

We are looking for a female coach who has experience coaching and who is willing to work based on the principles of the US Junior program (a copy of these can be provided).

We are able to cover the cost of all travel and accommodations while in Europe.

Requirements for the position:

  • Provide resume. Include three references that highlight your abilities as a coach, athlete and person
  • Submit to, and pass, a background check
  • Be in direct communication with head coach Erin Schirm leading up to the trip, including team calls.
