This year, two teams of equal ability will be selected to compete for the Southern Cross Trophy against the six Australian states and the Australian Capital Territory in the 2020 Australian Schools Championships.
Recently ONZ was invited to distribute this great free resource – the undated version of “Cool, Awesome and Educational”, Orienteering at school for ages 6-15. We have had a look at it and encourage all clubs to do the same.

PAPO will be hosting an orienteering training camp, for those in Years 5-8 at school, from 21st-23rd Dec 2019 in Christchurch. The camp will teach skills and have exercises catering from beginners to advanced (white to red level). The camp is two nights and three days based at Spencer Park holiday park.
The following Junior Orienteers have been selected to attend the Junior Camp in Pukekohe 15-20 December 2019.
We are reopening applications for the Junior Camp as we have a few spaces left, and we would like to give those that haven’t applied a chance to take advantage of this opportunity to be selected.

Entries for Oceania 2019 Carnival close 31st August 2019. Competition starts in New South Wales, Australia with the Oceania Sprint at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga on the afternoon of Saturday 28 September 2019 and concludes with the Oceania Middle in Victoria at Beechworth on the morning of Sunday 6 October 2019.
